In this tutorial, you'll learn how to tame a fox in Minecraft!
Taming foxes in Minecraft is not like taming other animals in the game. Instead, you must breed two foxes and they will produce a baby tamed fox that may follow you around until it's matured. You can also use a lead on the baby fox to lead it around.

Required To Breed & Tame Foxes
- 2 Sweet berries
- 2 Foxes
Steps To Breed & Make A Tamed Fox
1. Find Two Foxes To Breed
We'll first need to find two foxes in Minecraft. It doesn't matter if you use red foxes or white foxes. Red foxes are often found in the Taiga Biome and white foxes are found in the Snowy Taiga Biome. If you are having trouble finding them you can use a spawn egg or summon a fox.

Tip: Build a fence around the foxes to keep them close together to make the breeding process easier.
2. Feed The Foxes Sweet Berries
Now, we need to feed each fox the sweet berries one at a time.
To feed the foxes the berries, place them in your Hotbar and use the following game controls:
- Java Edition (PC/Mac), Windows 10 Edition, Education Edition: right click on the fox.
- Pocket Edition (PE): tap on the fox.
- Xbox 360, Xbox One: press the LT button
- PS3, PS4: press the L2 button
- Wii U, Nintendo Switch: press the ZL button

After feeding the foxes the sweet berries you will notice red hearts appear. This signifies that the foxes are entering love mode. After a few moments, the hearts will disappear and the baby fox will appear.
3. Lead Around The Tamed Baby Fox
You can now lead around the tamed baby fox. You can do this by simply walking away and the baby fox may follow you or by placing a lead on the fox. Baby foxes are more likely to follow their parents than you, so keep that in mind if you can't get it to follow you. You will just have to use a lead in that case.

And that's it! You've now successfully bred two foxes and made a tamed baby fox.
