Required To Make A Daylight Sensor
- 3 Nether quartz
- 3 Glass
- 3 Wood slabs (any type)
Steps To Make A Daylight Sensor
1. Open Your Crafting Menu
To craft a daylight sensor, you first need to open your crafting table in Minecraft. You should see the same grid as in the image below.
2. Add The Daylight Sensor Items To The Menu
In the crafting table, add the 3 nether quartz, 3 glass, and 3 wood slabs of your choice (either oak, spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, dark oak, crimson, or warped slabs) to the grid. In this tutorial, we'll be using oak wood slabs.
You must add the items to the grid exactly as shown in the image below. In the 1st row place down 1 redstone torch in the 2nd box. In the 1st row place down the 3 glass. In the 2nd row place down the 3 nether quartz. And in the 3rd row place down the 3 wood slabs. This is the Minecraft daylight sensor recipe.
After you've added the items to the crafting grid as described above, you'll notice the daylight sensor in the box on the right.
3. Move The Daylight Sensor To Your Inventory
Now, simply drag the daylight sensor down to your inventory so you can use it.
That's it! A Minecraft daylight sensor, also known as a daylight detector, is a block that activates redstone depending on whether it is day or night.
