Materials Needed To Craft A Lectern

1 Bookshelf
4 wooden slabs (any type)

Steps To Make A Minecraft Lectern

1. Open Your Crafting Menu

To craft a lectern, you first need to open your crafting menu in Minecraft. You should see the same grid as in the image below.

2. Add The Bookshelf and Wooden Slabs To The Menu

In the crafting table, add the bookshelf and wooden slabs to the grid. You can use any type of wood slab, including oak, dark oak, birch, spruce, jungle, acacia, crimson, or warped slabs.

You must add the items to the grid exactly as shown in the image below. In the 1st row place down 3 wooden slabs. In the 2nd row place down 1 bookshelf in the center box. In the 3rd row place down 1 wood slab in the center box. This is the Minecraft lectern recipe.

After you've added the items to the crafting grid as described above, you'll notice a lectern in the box on the right.

3. Move The Lectern To Your Inventory

Now, simply drag the lectern down to your inventory so you can use it.
