Materials Needed To Make Shears
Steps To Make Minecraft Shears
1. Open Your Crafting Menu
To craft shears, you first must open your crafting table in Minecraft. You should see the same grid as the image below.
2. Add The Iron Ingots To The Menu
In the crafting table, add the 2 iron ingots to the grid.
You must add the iron ingots to the grid exactly as shown in the image below. In the 2nd row place down 1 iron ingot in the middle box. In the 3rd row place the other iron ingot in the 3rd box. This is the Minecraft shears recipe.
After you've added the items to the crafting grid as described above, you'll notice shears in the box on the right.
3. Move The Shears To Your Inventory
Now, simply drag the shears down to your inventory so you can use them.
You're done! You now have shears! Minecraft shears are primarily used for shearing sheep, which drop 1 - 3 wool blocks as opposed to killing sheep which only produces 1 wool block. They also have many other uses such as harvesting leaves, cobwebs, seagrass, ferns, and more.
