Items Needed To Make A Fishing Rod

• 3 sticks
• 2 strings

Steps To Make A Minecraft Fishing Rod

1. Open Your Crafting Menu

To craft a fishing rod, you first need to open your crafting menu in Minecraft. You should see the same grid as in the image below.

2. Add The Sticks And Strings To The Menu

In the crafting menu, add the 3 sticks and the 2 strings to the grid.

You must add both the sticks and strings to the grid exactly as shown in the image below. In the 1st row place 1 stick in the 3rd box. In the 2nd row place 1 stick in the 2nd box and 1 string in the 3rd box. In the 3rd row place 1 stick in the 1st box and 1 string in the 3rd box. This is the Minecraft fishing rod recipe.

After you've added the items to the grid as described above, you'll notice a fishing rod in the box on the right.

3. Move The Fishing Rod To Your Inventory

Now, simply drag the fishing rod down to your inventory so you can use it.

You now have a fishing rod! You can use your Minecraft fishing rod to catch fish. You can also place a carrot on the end of the hook of the rod to make a carrot on a stick, which combined with a saddle can be used to ride around on a pig.
