Steps To Make Minecraft Stairs
1. Open Your Crafting Menu
To craft stairs, you first need to open your crafting table in Minecraft. You should see the same grid as in the image below.

2. Add The Stair Ingredients To The Menu
In the crafting table, add the items to the grid.
You must add the items to the grid in the same pattern as shown in the image below. In this example, we will craft oak wood stairs.
In the 1st row place down 1 oak wood block in the 1st box. In the 2nd row place down 1 oak wood in the 1st box and 1 oak wood in the 2nd box. In the 3rd row place down 3 oak wood, one in each box. This is the Minecraft stair recipe for oak stairs.
You will use this same pattern no matter the type of stairs you craft.

After you've added the items to the crafting grid as described above, you'll notice 4 oak stairs in the box on the right.
3. Move The Stairs To Your Inventory
Lastly, we're going to drag the stairs down to your inventory to be used.

That's it! Minecraft stairs are a building block that allows players to change elevation (without having to jump). In fact, walking up stairs is faster than jumping and uses less exhaustion. There are 31 different types of stairs you can make in the game.
