Items Needed To Make TNT

5 Gunpowder
4 Sand (or red sand)

Steps To Make Minecraft TNT

1. Open Your Crafting Menu

First, let's open your crafting menu in Minecraft. You should see the same grid as in the image below.

2. Add Gunpowder And Sand To The Menu

In the crafting menu, add the 5 gunpowder and 4 sand to the grid.

You must add each item to the grid exactly as shown in the image below. In the 1st row place 1 gun powder in the 1st box, 1 sand in the 2nd box, and 1 gun powder in the 3rd box. In the 2nd row place 1 sand in the 1st box, 1 gun powder in the 2nd box, and 1 sand in the 3rd box. Lastly, in the 3rd row place 1 gun powder in the 1st box, 1 sand in the 2nd box, and 1 gun powder in the 3rd box. This is the Minecraft TNT recipe.

Now that you've added the items to the grid as described above, you'll notice a TNT block in the box on the right.

3. Move The TNT To Your Inventory

Simply drag the TNT down to your inventory so you can use it.

That's it! You now have TNT. Minecraft TNT is a block that can be used to initiate a controlled explosion.
