Minecraft zombie villagers are a type of zombie in the game that can be cured into a normal villager and given a profession.

• 1 Splash potion of weakness

Steps To Cure A Zombie Villager

1. Use The Splash Potion Of Weakness

First, we need to find our zombie villager and trap it. In this example, we built a cage around the zombie villager. We then need to throw our splash potion of weakness at the zombie villager.

You can throw your potion by using the following game controls:

• Java Edition (PC/Mac), Windows 10 Edition, Education Edition: right click on the zombie villager
• Pocket Edition (PE): tap the zombie villager
• Xbox 360, Xbox One: press the LT button
• PS3, PS4: press the L2 button
• Wii U, Nintendo Switch: press the ZL button

You will notice gray particles around the zombie villager after you throw the splash potion at it.

2. Use The Golden Apple

Now that our zombie villager is weakened from the splash potion, we need to feed it a golden apple.

You can feed it the golden apple by using the following game controls:

• Java Edition (PC/Mac), Windows 10 Edition, Education Edition: right click on the zombie villager
• Pocket Edition (PE): tap the zombie villager
• Xbox 360, Xbox One: press the LT button
• PS3, PS4: press the L2 button
• Wii U, Nintendo Switch: press the ZL button

You'll notice the gray floating particles turn a red color and the zombie will start shaking. This means your zombie villager is in the process of turning to a normal villager. Keep in mind, this process can take several minutes

3. Place Down A Work Table

Once our zombie villager is cured and is a normal villager, we can give them a profession by placing down a job site block. In this example, we place down a smithing table and the villager becomes a toolsmith.

That's it! You cured a zombie villager!
