You can teleport in Minecraft using an ender pearl or by using a command.  The focus of this tutorial will be how to teleport using an ender pearl.  But, we'll quickly show you the Minecraft teleport command, as well!

Steps To Teleport

To teleport in Minecraft using an ender pearl you must be in Survival mode.

1. Select Ender Pearl

Select the ender pearl in your Hotbar. Once that's selected, you'll want to position your pointer in the sky in the direction that you want to teleport.

2. Throw Ender Pearl

Now, you simply throw the ender pearl. The game control to throw it is:

• Java Edition (PC/Mac), Windows 10 Edition, Education Edition: right-click to throw the pearl
• Pocket Edition (PE): tap where you want to throw the pearl
• Xbox 360, Xbox One: press the LT button
• PS3, PS4: press the L2 button
• Wii U, Nintendo Switch: press the ZL button

You should now see the ender pearl flying through the sky. Once it lands you'll be teleported to that location.

Important: Keep in mind that every time you use an ender pearl to transport you will take 2.5 hearts damage.

Minecraft Teleport Command

To run a command, simply open your chat window and enter one of the following teleportation commands:

Java Edition 1.13 and higher

Teleport the user named McGamers to the coordinates (32, 69, -7):
/tp McGamers 32 69 -7

Teleport 5 pigs to the coordinates (72, 55, 78):
/tp @e[type=pig,limit=5] 72 55 78

Teleport the nearest user to the location of ExampleLocation:
/tp @p ExampleLocation

PE, Xbox One, Switch, Win 10, Education Edition

Teleport to the location of ExampleLocation in Minecraft:
/tp ExampleLocation

Teleport the user named McGamers to the location of ExampleLocation:
/tp McGamers ExampleLocation

Teleport the user named McGamers to the user named ExamplePlayer:
/tp McGamers ExamplePlayer

Teleport the user named McGamers to coordinates that are 4 blocks East and 10 blocks North of the current position:
/tp McGamers ~4 ~ ~-10

Teleport all players to a specific target entity, in this case a set of coordinates (5, 68, 10):
/tp @a 5 68 10
