8 Obsidian blocks

Steps To Make An Ender Chest

1. Open Your Crafting Menu

First, let's open your crafting table in Minecraft. You should see the same grid as in the image below.

2. Add The Eye of Ender and Obsidian To The Menu

In the crafting table, add the eye of ender and 8 obsidian blocks to the grid.

You must add the eye of ender and obsidian blocks to the grid exactly as shown in the image below. In the 1st row place down 3 obsidian, one in each of the 3 three boxes. In the 2nd row place down 1 obsidian block in the 1st box, 1 eye of ender in the 2nd box, and 1 obsidian block in the 3rd box. In the 3rd row place down the remaining 3 obsidian. This is the Minecraft ender chest recipe.

Add The Eye of Ender and Obsidian To The Menu

Now that you've added the items to the grid as described above, you'll notice an ender chest appear in the box on the right.

3. Move The Minecraft Ender Chest To Your Inventory

Lastly, you'll need to drag the ender chest down to your inventory so you can use it.

That's it! You now have an ender chest. A Minecraft ender chest is used by a player to store items that they can later access anywhere in the world, including different dimensions. Each chest has 27 storage slots.
